My room was confirmed as a strictly non smoking room, yet I was put into a smoking room. The front desk staff were excellent, but told me only 2 rroms were left and both smoking. The bathroom was slightly run down, plus the room was described as an Executive Deluxe of 50sq meteres and I doubt it was either when compared to a 50sq metre room at the Grand Hyatt. The price was us$140 plus 10% which was over the odds for what it was, but when the exchange rate for the day was around rp 8,900, it is too much when the Ascott converted at rp 9,400, then credit card companies take their toll. I wouldn't consider staying there at that price in the future, when the Grand Hyatt is not much more, but unfortunatlely was fully booked on that night.

Well...not much to comment about the hotel regarding the staff, room, value for money & location...but regarding the services of house keeping was really something that ascott really has to train or communicate with their house keeping department...we were there 4 nights and we had to called for extra towel for our extra bed guest and sometimes coffee were not refilled while they were doing cleaning & tidy up the room...one more thing before I forgot to ask...who is cleaning the kitchen ware when we used the kitchen wares??? We don't mind to do but there were not liquid detergent for us to do the cleaning...at last after our experience stayed at Ascott...we are very pleased & enjoyed our stay but...just a tiny bit of "House Keeping" really need to work on it..."IT'S For your hotel's REPUTATION"...keep it up!!!

The location of this apartment building is excellent, as it is located in middle of business district, and very close to Grand Indonesia shopping mall and Plaza Indonesia shopping, where one could find good and variable restaurants.

The services are poor in these apartments, and are full of mesquites, and other bugs. The most annoying thing to us was the smell of, I guess, paint thinners, that burns your eyes and throat when staying in the apartment (we had three bedrooms apartment), where there is absolutely no ventilation whatsoever in these multitude bedrooms apartments. Anther annoying thing that happened to us was that they charged us in us Dollars, then they convert the amount to local currency then convert back again to Dollars using their rate of exchange, which is very low, making the rate is actually higher then the quoted rate.

The situation of the hotel and the facilities were correct for a 5 stars.

Good hotel with a good locaton

The location was perfect, just opp plaza indonesia and golden triangle....and next to thamrin city, and close to tanah ambang. Down the road were many eating franchises- take a tuk-tuk or a taxi, very reasonable. The staff were always polite, helpful and ever-smiling. Tight security. Washing machines and dryer made a huge difference!!! And I absolutely Loved the bathrooms and the complimentary goodies- very tasteful.

Breakfast selection was quite limited. It would be nice to have a kiblah sign clearly visible in the rooms, and not hidden in an obscure drawer, under the T.V! Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, and as such, I would have expected the decor to at least reflect some understanding of that- I didn't appreciate the statues and the pictures in my room. A musalla in the drawer would have been a nice touch. Read in previous reviews about the hungry mosquitoes- it's true. But all in all, benefits are greater than the cost.

The position to all city venues

The Ascott is a seviced appartment not a hotel as said on your site .It was meant to cost me as quoted $1232.00 us and cost me in fact 1323.37aus with the exchange rate that was well over $100.00us more than quoted .The hotels rate of exchange was !0,000 rph to the us dollar when paying by credit card .This was when the us rate was at 8200rph at the banking rate . Your site said nothing of this and I am annoyed that there was such a difference . I suggest this be checked back on with the Ascott .The Ascott being a serviced appartment doesnt change bed linen for the duration of your stay and has a green policy they said .Nor are any tea coffee or sugar replentished bar the two of each you get when booking in . They did supply 2 bottle of water a day in a suite booking .The pool has nothing to offer as in refreshments and pool towel are not available at the pool or in your room as it is totally unattended .All guest that visit are screened by security on arrival and then still can not come up to visit you at your room as cant get past a glass security door that needs a card to open it to get to the lifts. Thus you have to go to the lobby everytime your guest wishes to see you .I had eight friends for drinks one night as there is no bar facility at the Ascott before dinner and was up and down from the 12th floor like a yoyo leaving my other guests to fend for thenselves whilst I was gone . I booked a suite for the purpose of seeing friends and really it is unreasonable that guests friends should be treated in such a manner .The staff in general were good at their job but I found the hotel lack lustre and furnishings of the room very dated for the money that they are charging .I would like to hear back from Bookings.com on the matter of the chareges that were under quoted please .

Very good Location and apartment style. Service of staff is good and they are very obliging, even during breakfast at the cafe.

Ascott Jkt is not as clean as expected, probably coz the size is bigger than a hotel room and the the building is old. Housekeeping did not change towels and yet folded nicely for use. The mattress is too soft.

The size of the apt is really good.

the laundry facilities not working and some of the kitchen applaiances dirty and i have asked to be changed

The smell of corridor was not good. The hotel should care about it more. They do not provide a map of Jakarta. It will be much better if they provide the map.

- Spacious bedrooms and living room with basic amenities - Locatiom close to big malls and trade centre - maid room is also available which is a plus

Its good apartment , more space we took 2 bedroom apartment was big area and more space , hotel staff nice,

After 1 night, I git shocked ascot just took 500,000 idr From my credit card without asking my permisiion,next morning asked the front desk abaout it,they said that was for the deposit fees or guarantee, they will return it back when I checked out,but rood for you to took money without informing it to us first.
